Ambassador Ignatius C. Olisemeka (CON)

Mike Balogun and I met at Igbobi College, Yaba from 1946 - 1951. Others in our set included Kwakwu Adadevoh, Michael Ibru, Kolawole Olafimihan and Akin Adegboye. Mike Balogun turned out to be everything Igbobi shaped us to be. Hard work, integrity and fear of God constantly hammered into us by great preachers like Archbishop Vinning of the Christ Church Cathedral. Success dogged Mike Balogun in all he did. We were under great men who were our revered teachers and principals. Esubiyi, the Rev. L. D. Mason, C.O.D Ekwensi, Leslie Murby, the Rev. Reginal Parker. Mike Balogun led a fulfilled and accomplished life. Sadly, he has now left us. We mourn and celebrate with his adorable spouse and well-brought up children. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amb. Ignatius C. Olisemeka (CON) Former Foreign Minister.
