I had the privilege of meeting Otunba Subomi Balogun as a young journalist and had the opportunity of interviewing him for my magazine Palace Newsreel magazine and then my blog NaijaRoyaltyCulture.com; as young as I was he showed me that there is always a place for patience in affluence; a time for charity even with his influence and class he was one of a kind and knowing him, having his audience on the phone, in his office and at home in Ijebu was something that cheers me up. He was a phenomenon and his legacies of goodwill, philanthropy and kind gestures are worth studying. May the Lord bless his soul as he will be greatly missed by my humble self, Ijebuland, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole! Adieu Baba rérè!!!

You were even dancing to the music of Kizz Daniel (the Buga Song) I still can't believe you are gone..... I thank God for your fruitful life. You were the doyen of banking in Africa and the darling husband of my childhood friend, Olori Abimbola Balogun. Oluwa a toju awon Omo atata ti e fi sile oooo. By God's grace they will pick up the baton of excellence from you. A distinguished man of honour,fashionist man and great philanthropist to ijebu sons and daughters both home and abroad, not only ijebus but to all Nigerian at large above all a great trabilizer in financial industry that brought glory to the Ijebu-Ode and the entire Nigerian at large may almighty Allah forgive all his sins and count him among the dweller of aljanat and accepts his return. My heartfelt condolences goes to the family of Balogun tuwase and the paramount ruler of Ijebu-Ode surely his presences will be sorely missed by all sundry sons and daughter of Nigerian.
